In Lubna’s words

When you look at someone’s clothes, you get a little insight into who they are: their tastes and their choices. The way we dress is how we speak to the world.

I observe the beauty of nature and try to bring that beauty into the dresses I design. My dream is to see the world wearing LMA.

How every piece is made

How LMA grew

  1. The first pieces

Lubna founds LMA in Karachi. Magenta, Laal Gulaab and Gold in Emerald come first, followed by a summer of lawn and chiffon.

  2. First muses

Lilly, Opale and Aaftaab are photographed with muses including Kurasah Anwer and Aiman Zaman. Carnation and the first Gulaabo follow.

  3. Weddings

Collaborations with Iqra Kabwal and Hira Ahmed, and a full wedding edit of ghararas, cholis and peshwas.

  4. Summer lawn

Embroidered lawn for every day, led by Zari Bahar, and a giveaway for the LMA community.

  5. Today

Raw silk, soft net and organza in new colours, and Gulaabo returns in maroon organza.

A garden of names

Since the first collection, Lubna has named her pieces after flowers.
